Xbox Live Gold Card Redemption Issue

Okay, so I ran out of Xbox Live like 2 weeks ago, when this happened I got a silver membership on my account so I could still watch Netflix. I just bought a Gold card at Walmart earlier today and when I redeemed it, nothing, it still says the account isn't
a Gold Membership and it won't let me play Live games or join parties or any of the features that come with Live. Is there a fix for this, did I do something wrong, or was I just screw'd out of 60 bucks? PLEASE HELP!

invalid 25 digit code

I just purchased an xbox live gold card from Game Stop. When I try to activate the account, I get an invalid redemption code message.

http://commerce.microsoft.com to see if it shows the new subscription. Although you're not showing as gold here so there may have been an issue. If it doesn't show, try redeeming the code again. If it says the code has already been redeemed, you will need
to try contacting support. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or
support.xbox.com/contact-us

Did you purchase the 1 Month Subscription to Xbox Live Gold?

The reason behind the $0.00 redemption is because it is a Xbox Live Gold Card, Not a Xbox Gift Card

With Microsoft Rewards points you just go to their redemption page and redeem the points for either an Xbox gift card or a Live card (it's not possible to purchase gold using currency from gift cards through Xbox) and a code will be emailed to you. If you
need further assistance, you would need to contact customer support for the Microsoft Rewards program via their redemption page. They are not the same as the Xbox Rewards program.

1. No. The Kinect feature will only read the QR code.

2. A lot of people have been reporting that issue, but I'm not sure of a solution. You may want to verify that all of the information on your account is already correct and filled in at
http://account.live.com I believe that is where it's supposed to pull your name from.
