    I don't have a Xbox console, but I have always wondered something. If i can connect a Xbox via Console Companion, so does that mean when I purchase a live gold subscription, it also applies to the xbox? Please Answer!

    Hey there Elect,

    If you have an Xbox Live Gold membership, that will apply to both your Xbox 360 and your Xbox One. The Gold applies to your profile and moves with that profile regardless of what console you're on.

    if you don't have a console then how are you going to connect a console to the companion app in the first place. gold is only required on the console, if you connect via companion app to a console and stream to a pc that console will need gold to play online.

    it must be created on the console

    and only applies to the first 3 profiles to join xbox live per new console

    join xbox live and go gold

    then upgrade later rather then add payment option
