    Xbox Live Gold and games


    So lately I've been using trials for my Xbox Account. Every game so far has been really awesome with the gold features. Halo, Minecraft, etc. Except Destiny. Now I understand it's a new game with multiple problems, but this? I tried to do a crucible mission.
    It requires Gold, and from what I've heard is similar to match making on Halo. I can't do Crucible missions. I'm told I need gold. Match Making in Halo works. I can't join a fireteam. Basically Co-op campaign Halo. It works in Halo for me, but I can't join
    a fireteam on Destiny. It says I need gold. I can't chat. Microphones are a great way to communicate in Halo. Destiny tells me I still dont have gold. Any suggestions? Microsoft please fix this.

    Do i need xbox live

    You will not need gold to buy games (but you will need an xbox live id/gamertag) thats a given, same for iplayer (assuming it comes to xbox one)

    As for renting movies not sure ive always had gold when ive done it

    Why would there be a fix? It is working as intended

    CurreNtly it is the free gold weekend

    when you have trial codes or free gold weekends you are not actually gold

    you only have access to certain modes like social games on halo and non ranked matches

    Since crucible is a ranked match it most likely won't work

    you actually need paid gold

    I was using a 1 week code, not just the free gold weekend.

    Does not matter trials act the same way

    it does not change your status and you cannot join ranked matches

    Games with Gold is an on top option to Xbox Live Gold and also a successful change to the game pass. Don't forget that the XBOX 360 Games With Gold Games are a gift to you that are yours even without Xbox Live Gold

    Unfortunately your free trial doesn't give you access to the Games with Gold deals, you'll need a full blown Xbox Live Gold membership to take advantage of Games with Gold.
