Xbox LIVE Gold activation does not work

I recently upgraded my 360 and got an Xbox one, it came with a demo license to have full access to Xbox One Live which activated right away and worked for about two weeks before running out. Shortly afterwards I went back to the store and got a Prepaid
12M Xbox LIVE Gold, I got a "Prepaid 12M Xbox LIVE Gold activation confirmation" on 22 Aug 2016, but my account never worked again beyond the free access. There is no network issue and I was told Microsoft can be slow so 24 hours is not unusual, but the demo
license activated right away and this I paid for and been waiting three days now! The error I get is "The current profile is not allowed to play on xbox live" Now this worked for me before with the demo license before running out, I had not done anything
to get banned and I paid for something that has never worked at all thus far.

Bought Xbox live gold, got confirmation email, but do not work

I bought Xbox Live Gold for a year in a store. I entered the code in my account, I received confirmation for activation of the prepaid 1 year Gold, but it do not work. When I log with my loggin, I cannot see the Live Gold and it is still offering me to buy
GOLD. My kids are telling me that it do not work...

What can I do?

Log in here account.microsoft.com/services and find out what it says about your subscription. If it says anything like canceled, suspended, past due, etc... You will want to contact
support directly as they will be able to take care of it for you.

That being said at this point it is probably best to go ahead and contact them so they can help you get it resolved right away. support.xbox.com/.../contact-us

Ok..... I got someone in chat and below is what they told me and it did work, I hope this helps anyone else that might have this problem.

First we will do the Power Cycle. it is to turn off and turn on your console here's how:

Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.

Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

Plug the console power cable back in.

Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox One.

Hello dear microsoft i have a problem i got my XBOX ONE back today after the Bluray Drive was broken, you send me a letter that you gave me a 1 month xbox live gold code for apologie but there is no code inside of the box.

Can you help me with this issue?
