    Xbox Live Gold Account questions


    I am looking to purchase an Xbox live Gold account. But if my son also wants to play some online CO-OP games with me, will he also need a Gold account? We like playing AirMech Arena, but we can't play CO-OP because currently we only each have the basic
    Xbox live account. Do I need a Gold account for both of us? Is there a "family" type Gold account we can use?

    How can you tell if an account is the primary account? I know these are total noob questions I've only had my xbone for like 2 months.

    As long as the primary account have xbox live gold all other accounts get xbox live as well

    yes each account has to have a gold member if both tags want to play online in any online game

    I just wanted to add in here that if you are thinking of purchasing an Xbox One at some point in the future you can share one Gold membership through all family members on that console. Simply have the Gold membership owner head to Settings on the Xbox
    One then scroll right until they see Add To Family.

    NOTE: A shared membership on the Xbox One does not transfer to the Xbox 360.

    In order for you to have
    Xbox Live Gold     on your account, you will have to pay for a subscription. Xbox Live Gold memberships are not shared across accounts.
