Xbox live Gold $4.99 Extension Error

There's an asterisk(*) by the price, implying that there's a condition behind that stated figure.

While purchasing only one month of Xbox Live alone will cost $9.99, the $59.99 12-month card is broken down to a value of about $4.99/mo.

In OP's defense, Microsoft should have left a footnote at the bottom of the Xbox Live Gold page to explain the (*). The same asterisk is used two times, for two different contexts: one for the $4.99 Gold subscription figure, and one where it describes the
$700 value of Games with Gold. Obviously an oversight with the marketing department, but there you go.

To further clarify, Goat Simulator was $9.99 before the sale, and it currently $4.99 for Xbox Live Gold members. The Legend of Korra is $14.99, but is available to Xbox Live Gold members at $7.49. In the picture you linked, you only see the Silver sale price
and the Gold sale price, not the actual retail price.

The current price if you buy a 1 year Xbox live gold is $4.99 a month/$59.99 a year.

This is basically the slightly higher then ordering something off of a dollar menu.

And it's for an entire month. The prices are easily not that expensive at all.

Game pass ultimate does state it is the ultimate game pass and xbox live gold but when I signed up it didnt give me EA access unless I purchased it but its definitely worth the 4.99 a month.

So it did indeed take the payment, which would have gone through

6/28/2014.

Its rather misleading that it shows "xbox live gold", then "join xbox live gold" at the top,

then you see a thing to make a payment which makes you assume that you don't

have it now (or perhaps this is because I'm old.)

I originally thought this because "Dark souls" said it was 4.99. Then it said that was for gold, or something, and when I clicked to pay it said 19.99; Evidently, this was not the case. I guess it was only 4.99 for a cyber monday thing, or something, and
I was thinking I was no longer gold since that price was not there when I went to pay. Then, coming here and getting an option to pay 59.99 for gold kind of cemented that for me.

Now, on the xbox 360, in the area where you purchase games it suddenly changed to 19.99 from the get go. Odd....
