Xbox Live Gold 14 day trial

Set up new Xbox One and thought we redeemed our Xbox Live Gold 14 day free trial this morning. Now we find no proof of that and anything my son clicks on says we "need to have Xbox Live Gold for that". We've tried to redeem again and it says our code has
already been redeemed. Please adivse!!

You can try contacting Xbox Support on the phone they might be able to tell you if you have redeemed it not 100%

You can also check Sign in to your Microsoft account to see if it shows it under subscriptions. Trial cards will not show your account as gold and there are some things that require a full gold subscription.
Also, some trial cards will only work with the game they came with.

Yes I have also done this, and I did the went to the support on the website. They said that there is an issue with trial accounts right now on and are trying to fix it. I can actually play on xbox 360 multiplayer but NOT xbox one multiplayer. This needs
to be fixed asap.

I understand that a xbox game pass 14 days trial code or a xbox live gold 14 days trial code can't be used/sold as xbox game pass ultimate 14 days trial code for sure.

Because a 'xbox games pass ultimate 14 days trial code' equals a 'xbox game pass 14 days trial code + xbox live gold 14 days trial code', so for new Microsoft/Xbox accounts, a 'xbox game pass ultimate 14 days trial codes' could be used/sold as 'xbox game
pass 14 days trial code' or 'xbox gold live 14 days trial code' , right?

Please help to clarify.

if u buy a xbox console then u will get given a 14 day free trial but xbox dont give away 14 days free trial for xbox live gold

that is why unable to get the backward compatible games. They will not work with the 14 day trial unfortunately. In this link

describing Xbox live gold there is a section explains the trials.

With an Xbox Live Gold 2- to 14-day trial, you can get Xbox One Games with Gold, and discounted Gold deals.

If it was a one month trial you could get the backward compatible games.

just purchased the tomb raider 1tb xbox one bundle, which comes with a 14 day xbox live gold trial. it actually says "activate your 14 day xbox live gold trial." i am having the same issues. cannot dl free games, yet able to chat. if i try to dl a free game,
it wants me to upgrade to gold. WTF? it says live gold trial! explain that!
