Xbox Live gaming together from same account

Good afternoon and a preemptive thank you!

Here’s what I have:

2 XBox Ones with their own TV’s next to each other

My one XBox Live Gold Account with Gamepass under my name

I have a Gamertag

My child has a Gamertag

One wireless router with internet accout (in case this is an IP issue)

Here’s what I want to do:

Sit next to my child and play Halo CE Anniversary and Neverwinter together at the same time/world/game (or any online game for that matter) on our own TV’s with our own Xbox’s in the same world (not split screen). Just like if I was playing on Live with
somone across the country, but we’re on the same couch.

Question:

How the heck can I do this?!?

What I’ve tried so far:

Downloading the games on each Xbox, making one Xbox the Home one, and then trying to log in. It either kicks one of us off, or I can’t see my child on a Friends list to start an online game together.

Basically you set the Xbox One your child is going to use, as your home Xbox. You then sign out and your child can sign in with their gamertag. You then sign in with your gamertag on the other Xbox One. If your child is in your friends list, you should
be able to invite to party and game.

Hey Efaray,

I believe what you are looking for is Sharing Gold Live. This way you both have access to Gold to play live games. This link below should help explain it to you and how to set it up. It is fairly easy to do. I have done this exact same thing at my house
with two Xbox's.

I just saw you did set an Xbox as Home. Try making sure you log into you child's account first. Then log into your account on the main Xbox. I had this issue before where one Xbox would sign in and force the other account to log out. Also, do you have your
child's account set to block friend requests? Or have the privacy setting changed making it show him off line?

There is no way to merge accounts together. Live accounts and Xbox profiles would be the same thing.

We live in the same household and we are trying to give each our games so we can play together, with ease and when trying to put my account on his xbox it is saying that there are too many people using it even though i do not give my information out to
anyone else and my friend is an only execption as we live together so i know my account cant be used from someone i dont know
