Xbox LIVE Gamertag Disaster

Alright, so pretty much this is how it went

Earlier this year, I decided to resurrect my ancient Xbox LIVE account, due to the amount of money I'd spent on content through the Microsoft store and wanting to reclaim my Gamerscore, etc, with the rise in Windows 10 gaming.

It took me 5 months to transfer it to a new e-mail because of various issues in the transfer process. Mess up once, and you wait another month due to a standard 30-day waiting period for new accounts on an Xbox, which is the only way to transfer a Gamertag.

So it was a big stress reliever to actually have succeeded in transferring my Gamertag; all was well, I was able to log in to the Microsoft store with my old account and purchase something off Xbox live, things were great.

But then I broke my Lumia 928. I scrambled to grab a new phone because I was on-call for work, and picked up my brother's old Lumia Icon that he had to ditch for an iPhone because of his job. I logged into it with my Microsoft account, after a few days logged
on to Xbox for Windows phone 10, and it gave me a new Gamertag.

I figured it must be some minor issue, I went to my computer and opened Xbox, uh oh, new Gamertag.

I tried to log in through an Xbox, and it couldn't figure out how to log in to my old Gamertag.

After some searching, I figured out that the Gamertag was transferred -BACK- to my old Microsoft account. For no reason. Okay, whatever, I'll hit up Xbox LIVE customer support, right? Wrong. Every time I try to get help at customer support, windows don't load
(drop down menus appear blank, links get corrupted or say that they're busy - this is over the course of a month so its not due to any temporary issues with Microsoft.)

Even using the Xbox LIVE support chat, the boxes for inputting name and e-mail are greyed out no matter what Microsoft account I'm logged in with, and I can't apply for help.

Suffice to say, this is the only actual bad experience I've ever had with Microsoft. This is seriously **** up. I could really use some help, and if I have to wait another month to re-do my Xbox LIVE Gamertag transfer, I'm going to ****.

I've already been redirected once, please for the love of god don't give me another *** redirect.

Non gold gamertags.

They never should have linked Xbox LIVE with Zune. It's made a Gamertag disaster.

 

Blu Ray & DVD App Problems

Are you logged in with a US gamertag? Might want to check the country it is assigned to on xbox live website

 

The name fields that are greyed out are pulling information from here:
https://account.live.com/

However, it may take a while after updating there for information to propagate to the Support website, so you might be better off reaching out to Phone Support directly:
