    Xbox Live Gamertag constantly signs in


    I am having friends tell me that they are getting notifications that my gamertag is signing in repeatedly. This is happening while my Xbox One is not is use. My Xbox One is set to instant on power mode. The notifications are limited to only friends on Xbox
    One, no issues with friends receiving notifications on Xbox 360. I am in the Xbox One Early Preview program so I am using the August preview update. I have changed my password today and I have not signed into Xbox One since changing my password and one of
    my friends is still saying he is getting notifications that I am signing in. He had to remove me from his favorites due to the notifications happening at an annoying rate.

    Good point, it's my lads Xbox and it automatically chose his Gamertag when I signed him upto live.

    I will look later.

    DLC won't work unless connected to the net?!

    This is wrong!!!

    You DO NOT have to be connected to Live to play your DLC.

    I took my 360 into work last friday for a party, and it was not connected to the net in anyway, the game was Rockband, and we could play all my downloaded tracks.

    DLC is linked to your gamertag.

    As you say the console is the same, your son must sign in on a different gamertag, and thats your problem.

    Even thought it is stored there on the console, you can only use it with the gamertag you downloaded it with.

    If your son is signing in on your gamertag, on the same console, then their must be some error, cos i can play my DLC without being signed into live.

    this the same thing that's happen to me my friends keep saying why I keep popping online? Maybe it's probably because of the dashboard update but I was on the phone with xbox support and they said that maybe they having problems with the services because
    it's under the services alert.

    ok, im starting from scratch and trying to change the default gamertag is a nightmare either on the console or by pc, it constantly comes up saying error occoured, or xbox live cant be reached, which makes no sense as i can download games just not a new
    gamertag.

    You can easily change your Xbox Live gamertag. If your
    gamertag was created for you during your initial Xbox Live sign-up (meaning, you did not choose your gamertag), you can change the gamertag one time for free. Additional Xbox Live gamertag changes cost extra.
