    i got to play a game online and it tells me that i have to finish downloading my profile??? i thought i did that when i added it to the xbox? where do i go to find out what i need to download the rest of it??? i did buy xbox live under my own profile.
    please help

    Xbox live won't auto-sign in anymore

    made another profile. Same behavior, IF game disc in drive profile logs in but not to xbox live IF no game disc in drive profile logs in and logs into live.

    Yes they can. You set the one that has no Xbox live as Home Xbox of the profile that has Xbox Live. This then shares Xbox Live and games. The profile with Xbox Live can sign in on any other console and have access to their Xbox live and games.

    I think the better explanation would be the game you are trying to play. If the game is not connected to Xbox Live in any way, then the custom profiles you make that are saved to your profile's Xbox Live cloud storage would not be synced or recognized when
    you launch and play that specific game. You will have to use the default profile when playing that game. You can test this by trying to play a current game that is online and connected to Xbox Live to test if your profile is working on a game that is connected
    to Xbox Live.

    my most recent saves for The Outer Worlds are missing for some reason

    If you aren't signed in to Xbox Live in the game, it stored save file in a Local user profile. Just needed to go to Saved Games\The Outer Worlds Windows 10 folder user profile, and then move the files from LOCAL to the profile for Xbox Live
