They would only be able to access gold on another console if they have purchased gold on their account. If they are accessing gold via Home sharing on a console, they would only be able to access gold on that Home console.

If that family member's Microsoft account does not have an Xbox Live Gold (or Game Pass Ultimate) subscription connected to it, it will then have to rely on whatever subscriptions that their device's Home Xbox setting has with it. The Microsoft account
family feature does not extend subscriptions to those accounts.

The person is confused. Live follows your gamertag. Make sure you delete your gamertag from your old console before selling it.



Assuming you have not created more than three gamertags from your 360 S, the new owner can create at least one gamertag via the console and get a month of Gold for free.
