    All of my friends have disappeared from Xbox Live and when I search and try to re-friend I get an error to try again later. I have tried logging out of all places I'm logged in and power cycling. So far that has not worked.

    If you don't mind for others taking a look, what exactly was wrong that it's now working for you? If it was your hard drive, you could try to take your save data and put it on a USB Flash Drive and once you received a new hard drive you can simply move those
    files back.

    Anything that you purchased can be re-downloaded without having to pay for it again.

    deleting and reloading my profile has doen nothing. I still cant connect to my friends on xbox live. Clearing the sytem cache has also done nothing

    I used the USB as asked and everythings fine. The problem must be my HDD. What do i do now

    its ok i figured it out. If my HDD is the problem does this mean i lose all my game save data
