    I have an Xbox live account and my son is on my family account but is not connected to Xbox live. I’ve checked my account and his email and name is one there as a family member but Xbox live doesn’t show and he can’t connect to his ea account

    Bit of good news,
    I have just been reading the new Xbox Mag that quote:
    'One Xbox Live Gold Account for the whole house, so no need for upgrading the whole family

    Nice touch and will save some family's money for all the kids to be able to go Multiplayer Xbox live -family :)

    Q: Everyone in my family is already an Xbox LIVE Gold member. Is there a limit to how long my Xbox LIVE Gold Family Pack subscription can be?

    A: An Xbox LIVE Gold Family Pack subscription cannot exceed 36 months. If your family members have more than 72 months of Xbox LIVE Gold membership remaining combined when they are added to the Xbox LIVE Gold family pack, any remaining time on their subscriptions
    in excess of the 72 months will be cancelled and you will not receive a refund for any time beyond 72 months.
