Xbox Live failing to redeem

I have just redeemed a code for 12 months of xbox live gold on my xbox one. Upon entering said code it displayed a message mentioning something to do with backwards compatability. I selected the only available option of "okay" and return to the xbox home
to find that I do not have a gold membership. I have tried logging out, turning off/restarting the xbox and have tried entering the code again, which resulted in a message stating that it has already been redeemed. Please help if you can, would rather not
have wasted £40 today. Thanks in advance.

I got a code a few days later in Xbox Live message an redeemed it on Xbox website now I gotta wait till its bc, no more 360.

Can you see what it says under Subscriptions? If that information is updated to reflect the subscription you redeemed, it's just taking a little while for the change in status to go through the system completely and it should hopefully be working fully for
you.

Actually this seems an issue with the retailer that sold you the prepaid code. You should contact them with your receipt to settle this issue

Hello Cambojian,

Thanks for coming to the forums. We recommend requesting a call from support. They will be able to look up the code and se what region it is in. Also keep in mind if you are

switching your region correctly you will have to wait 3 months to switch it again.

When you go to Contact Us,follow these steps to request a call from support:

Step 1 ----select Xbox One
Step 2 ----select see other options then subscription changes
Step 3-----select show contact options

Step 4 ----select request call from support

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.
