Xbox Live Error

I bought an Xbox live membership for 3 months and it successfully charged the $14.99, but I haven't received Xbox live. I should mention it was not a hard copy of a code or a digital code; it was bought through the message that pops up when you try to play
a game and it tells you that your membership runs out and asks you if you would like to renew it. I restarted my console a couple of times and waited about 20 minutes but it still hasn't come through. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Think xbox live is down I'm getting same error. Service status timed at 22:18 says check back in 30 mins for update

Maybe a problem with your connection. what is your internet like? you using eathernet or wifi to connect the console?

please double check http://account.microsoft.com/services to see if the subscription is showing there.

If the subcription shows, try the following steps

1. Remove profile from the console (Make sure you know the account credentials for the account, since you will need them later)
2. Perform the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:
   Restart or Power Cycle Xbox One Console
3. Redownload your profile
