Xbox live error message

Hi,

I am trying to connect to xbox live on my 360 but i keep getting this message.

"Your profile does not have the correct permissions to access xbox live"

If anyone could help i'd greatly appreciate it!

Original Xbox 360 E74 error message- Solution

If your Xbox 360 has failed because of the E74 error, you’ll see the following message on the screen when you turn on your Original Xbox 360 console:

System Error. Contact Xbox Customer Support.
E74

If you see this error message, you must repair your console. The warranty period for the E74 error is three years from the original purchase date of the console. If the warranty period expires, you’ll have to pay for the repair.

Hi there,

this could be caused by (parental) online safety and privacy settings.

Please check Sign in to your Microsoft account

and check if all settings are set to allow you on Xbox Live, if you yourself can't change the settings then they are most likely under control of a parental account, that parental account has to sign in and is able to set the settings for your account.
