    So I've been playing Xbox since I was a kid and since then I've heard all sorts of swears through the normal game chat and messages and it has never affected me. So why is it that when I call people who teamkill and ruin online games "**** idiots" I can
    get a messaging ban? Especially when they are the ones sending hate first at times. I'm playing a rated M game, why the he'll do I have to have a clean mouth when people are exploiting or ruining it for others without any sort of punishment, but someone reports
    me for hurting their feelings and I get a supsension?

    It doesn't matter if you've heard it before or it doesn't bother you, it's still a violation of the code of conduct. The game itself may be rated M, but everything else on Live has to remain E for everyone.

    It's my understanding that the Enforcement team does not follow this forum. May I recommend that you go to and sign in at the "Enforcement Team" webpage and see if you can file for a "Case Review".

    Can normal xbox live players ban people

    You could as well ask if "normal people" can arrest other people and put them in jail.

    The answer is no.

    Normal people/xbox live players can report people to the police/Xbox Live Enforcement, and then there is an investigation.

    If the police/Xbox Live Enforcement find that the reported person broke the law/Xbox Live Code of Conduct, the police/Xbox Live Enforcement will arrest/suspend the person that broke the rules.

    So normal people can report, but not actually ban people. The banning is done by real people in the Xbox Live Enforcement team after reviewing evidence that is usually automatically sent in with the report.
