xbox live does not honor their specials

my son wants to hear nothing about getting rid of the xbox one but i'm still going to get me a ps4 & a gaming pc, i canceled my xbox live but he would most probably get me to put it back on again but it's not with my consent, the kid loves microsoft he thinks
bill gates is 1 of the greatest men to ever live i guess he's ok but i'm still *** off about the spiderman 2 & it motivated me to get a ps4

i'm glad i got the attention of the moderators surely you guys can find me a solution to my problem it's really simple you advertised a special on xbox live south africa for a game that you did not have available on the south african website, you could get
me the game but not for the special price but at full price even though you advertised it at 60% off all i really want is an apology from xbox live for doing that & a promise that it won't happen again & if it does you will honor your specials & i will be
happy it's not too much to ask

The moderators are just regular gamers & the only thing they do that's special is police these forums.

You've been told what the problem is but refuse to accept it.

It will be exactly the same on the PlayStation.

i don't really know if it would be the same on playstation as yet but i do know if hi-fi corporation advertises something at a special price & they haven't got it they will get it for you at that price, so will game, checkers,pick n pay, etc. it's our policy
it's how things work & i just can't understand how it does not work that way for xbox live south africa

you see it says en-za which is xbox south africa notice the word sale in the link & that is where i saw them advertise the game so no i just can not understand how they can advertise the game for a price & not want to give it at that price it's just beyond
me it's not how things work down here, i suspect these type of things must happen a lot where you from but down here these things just don't happen if you advertise it at a price you give it at that price & if you out of stock you re order even at your loss.
if you got limited supply you must state it in your advertisement. i just can not comprehend how xbox is above our laws

microsoft is a multi billion dollar company things like this should not happen no matter how much icing you want to throw on the cake or how much you idolize bill gates it doesn't take away from the fact on this case xbox is wrong & i am right

i don't even want no spiderman 2 i don't even game that much it's for my son, i know he gets letters from xbox informing him of specials & what's up & so on, he checks it out & nags me for it, i want to buy it for him because he is so special to me, i never
got him the spider man2, i didn't get him call of duty or transformers because of my principles this all hurt him, i could of gotten him the other 2 games but because i couldn't get spiderman2 for what they advertised i didn't get him nothing & he shouldn't
have to learn about disappointment from his favorite company in the world & look at me badly for my principles

I do see were your coming from and after reading your post again it would appear that Spiderman is sold in south Africa. However just because its on sale in one country doesn't mean that it be on sale worldwide

We're did you see the game at the discount rate was it online or on your console store. Also what region do you have your profile and console set to. If you have it set to a different region you might be seeing sales.that aren't available to you. For example
you live in sa were spiderman 2 is not available because of local government if you had your console set to UK you would see the sale but may not be able to download it has ms would be breaking the law.

Sorry to hear you're having troubles. However, when I try to pull up Spiderman 2 on the South Africa page it seems as though it is not available in your region because it will not come up.

This is not due to Microsoft's policy but from the developer of the game and your local government. Some games are not available in some regions due to policies put in effect by that region's government. These policies must be stuck to by the developer
and distributor of those games.

The same would apply to Playstations sales as well.

If you would like to see changes to your regions policies you should start by petitioning your local government for changes in their video game laws.
