xbox live does not honor their specials

i just want to complain about xbox live not honoring their specials, i'm so tired of wrestling with microsoft that i just canceled my xbox live account everything with microsoft is stressing, every time they got a special i must wrestle with to buy their
products, the latest wrestle is spiderman 2 they just won't give it to me for the discount price, i was going to buy it & call of duty & was thinking of buying transformers but after the wrestle with spiderman 2 that they point blank won't sell me claiming
it's not for sa only uk

Delete INACTIVE gamertag past 5 years of not being used

You'll be better off choosing another gamertag. Some people may not use Xbox Live anymore, but keep their Microsoft account active through other services, like logging into the Live email or Office 365.

While Xbox Support agents do not post here on the forums, they wouldn't honor requests to delete other people's accounts anyway.

 

the reason why i went through all the trouble to lay a complaint even though i already got my mind set that the ps4 will serve me better is because of the amount of time & effort i had to put in to get my son the spiderman 2 that's just the icing on the
cake before this it was the last special when i bought dragonage & shadow of mordor, it's the kinect that doesn't support voice features in south africa like we can't say xbox on it should be supported when you cough up 2 grand. the sad thing is i wanted to
be part of the xbox experience, i bought me a windows tablet put windows 10 on 1 of my computers didn't upgrade the other 1 yet & i'm happier with windows 7 on it, i just feel let down because on all aspects i been wrestling alot with microsoft this year it's
like *** it man even purchasing the tablet was a train smash, giving me my windows 10 licence, letting me puchase dragonage making me complain now for spiderman just need a break from you guys but want you to understand we in 2015 everything should be smooth
hassle free no stress no arguments. you advertise it then you must let it go & say thank you for the purchase, simple easy stress free everybody is happy, it's so unnecessary that i got to hate you guys & spend bucks on a 2nd system but it's something i would
have to do because i don't see microsoft i don't know like how i expected if you get what i'm saying

 

Sorry to hear you're having troubles. However, when I try to pull up Spiderman 2 on the South Africa page it seems as though it is not available in your region because it will not come up.

This is not due to Microsoft's policy but from the developer of the game and your local government. Some games are not available in some regions due to policies put in effect by that region's government. These policies must be stuck to by the developer
and distributor of those games.

The same would apply to Playstations sales as well.

If you would like to see changes to your regions policies you should start by petitioning your local government for changes in their video game laws.

 

the lady did offer me a link where i could purchase the game from you but at full price so no i just don't understand how you can get me the game at full price but not at the discount price, i'm not unreasonable you microsoft the greatest company in the
world, i believe you can do anything

 

pay full price it's all unacceptable.

i would of bought spiderman2 i would of bought call of duty & most probably transformers also & my son would of been happy, i would of been happy & i'm sure you guys would of been happy because you put it there to sell & that's what would of happened

sony is Japanese a small island & they are ripping you apart right now & a lot of that has to do with microsofts attitude that's the truth, change your attitude, you people are changing but you got to treat people better don't mess them around even africans

most of those people that got ps4's has a windows pc, why on earth are they outselling you 2 to 1? it's got more to do than just a few more strands of grass on a game i would suspect. i want you tell me why i don't need a ps4 & why i made the right choice
in trusting microsoft with my hard earned south african rands that is incredibly hard to come by

in south africa why is xbox better to have than the ps4?

please take not we have junk internet constant power failures & a failing economy

 

As onyx said,the majority of what is & what is not available in your country is down to your governments laws & not Microsoft.

Obviously the more content they could sell then the better it is for both you & Microsoft but if your local government says it's not allowed then there's nothing they can do,the same goes for all companies,be it video games,movies,books etc.

If you want more things available then contact your local government official & see if there's anything you can do.

Complaining on these forums won't change anything.

 

my government jz would be upset with xbox live if he knew what you are doing to me, we got something called consumers act, you advertise something for a price you sell it for that price & if you don't have it you get it. i'm not a lawyer but that's how i
understand it & that's how things work down here, jz would be upset indeed i would have to pass him his machine gun & set him loose

 

We're did you see the game at the discount rate was it online or on your console store. Also what region do you have your profile and console set to. If you have it set to a different region you might be seeing sales.that aren't available to you. For example
you live in sa were spiderman 2 is not available because of local government if you had your console set to UK you would see the sale but may not be able to download it has ms would be breaking the law.

I do see were your coming from and after reading your post again it would appear that Spiderman is sold in south Africa. However just because its on sale in one country doesn't mean that it be on sale worldwide

i just wanted to say sorry for calling your staff a liar there was obviously something wrong with the game don't stress about it, i was just cross the xbox 1 is great it's better than the ps4 sorry for wasting your time
