Xbox Live disconnecting at random times

Hi!

I've had my Xbox One for about 2 years now, and i've had this problem since the start - but never done anything with it. My xbox live sometimes disconnects when i am playing games and just chilling, but it doesn't really happen that often. The problem is,
that whenever I try to watch Netflix, I am able to watch maybe 3-4 minutes of a movie or something like that, before it starts buffering up to 25% - and then it disconnects me from XBL.

My internet is not the issue. It is working 100% fine with everything else in the house, and I have even had friends over with their One's, and they dont have this issue. My speedtest showed that I have 50mbps both Download and Upload, and 4 ping. Please
help, this is really getting on my nerves!

My Xbox live connection is being rather fickle, disconnecting repeatedly in a hour timespan, then being fine for 30 then disconnecting repeatedly again.

It just never wants to be consistently connected.

None of my other gaming systems or tech does this, only my 360

Nine times out of 10 when I start up my xbox I never am signed in

Have you tried doing a hard reset on your console. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the
console. Once it is back up and operational test for results. Let us know. Good Luck!

I am currently trying it out, I am able to watch netflix now! Can't tell if the problems are permanently fixed though, will let u know later down the line! Thanks

 

Nevermind! The problem is still here :/ The hard reset didn't do anything I'm afraid. Is there anything else I can do?

 

Are you using it wired or wireless? Try the opposite of what you are currently using and see if the problem persists. Let us know. Good Luck!

 

list the brand and model # of your modem and your router so we can see if its on the "bad boy" list...

 

I am having a similar issue that just started about a day ago. I've had my Xbox one since November of 2014 and never had an issue until yesterday.

I'm currently using this Gateway as a modem/router

I've been using it for a couple of months now and haven't had any issues until yesterday. When I'm playing games (multiplayer or campaign) I frequently lose control of my character and it starts moving without any input on my end and depending on the game
it lets me know that I've lost a connection to xbox live, in multiplayer it will often kick me from the game. This is happening with increased regularity and my games are now unplayable.

If I go into offline mode I can play campaign games just fine.

I usually can't finish a video on youtube. I get this error message 0x87dd001a; I looked it up and it just means I lost connection to xbox live.

May be unrelated but I thought my xbox was loud yesterday, it seems to have stopped but these issue seem to have correlated to the loudness.

I've tested my connection on multiple devices and been on the phone with my isp for hours making sure my service is working, it's perfectly fine.

I was in a chat with xbox tech support, they had me hard reset the xbox and reset my DNS as well as clear the blu ray drive and remove and reinstall my profile. I've tried it multiple times to no success.

I'm desperate to have a clue what the problem is and addressing it.

I just starting having this problem now. Got rid of my old Xbox One cause it was a constant problem and picked up the Halo Xbox one. Haven't had the problem since I got it. March update roles around and now this keeps happening when watching Netflix.
Hard resets don't work, every other wired and wireless device keeps on chugging and the NAT is set to open.

 

its almost always the router that is disconnecting ...some don't play well with xbox and sometimes an update will expose this ....there is a list of routers that have "known issues" on the hardware page ...Arris , Technicolor and Superhubs are the most
notorious ...

 

My router / modem is from Tilgin. I live in norway, so I dont know if you guys are familiar with it..? It's also fiber optic btw, and it is wireless.

 

Like the other people in this thread have mentioned, the problem has actually been picking up the last few days. It was bad before, but now it seems to happen more frequently, even when I am just playing online games. Maybe Microsoft have *** something up?
