Xbox live disconnecting and reconnecting (3rd time)

This is my third time reporting the same issues.... After another update my xbox live keep disconnecting and reconnecting

I just did the new update for the Xbox one and everything went well with the install but right when it was done installing, my Xbox live will not stop disconnecting and reconnecting. It does it over and over and over about every 10-20 seconds. I have done
a hard restart about 4-5 times already and it did nothing. I was playing Black Ops 3 with no problem before the update and then after the update went into effect, it has not stopped. I am not sure what has changed or why it keeps happening. I have tried to
find a fix online with no luck and I have looked through a lot of forum posts and have not seen anything about this issue. Please help. I want to play my multiplayer games. Also I am hardwired into my router. Thank you

Xbox keeps disconnecting and reconnecting

My xbox keep on disconnecting from my internet, then reconnecting and then disconnecting all while being lan line connected. What is going on?

 

every time an xbox game starts it disconnects me

every time i start an xbox game it disconnects me ive tried clearing space and disconnecting and reconnecting my router connection plz help im thinking about using wired connection or even getting a new xbox

 

I'm having the same problem I'm in Tampa my next step is moving all my apps and games and everything I can over to my 4TB external then I'm restoring this thing to defaults.

 

Yeah I'm in Tampa too. Same stuff is happening to me as well.

 

I've got thw same problem and I am in Germany. I installed the last update. It took 2 hours to download the 330 MB with a 16 mbit connection. Now it disconnects and connects every some seconds. And I thought we had reached the bottom of this connection matter!!
Shame on you Microsoft. My sons asked me today "why did you have to buy a Xbox One?" They wanted a PS4. I am afraid they were right.

 

Also in Tampa, Florida area! Today is three days without Xbox Live service for me. I really wanted to spend my long weekend playing Destiny with my friend, but it doesn't seem like anything is being down about this outage.

I've gone through all the troubleshooting. Everything you can think of. I cannot get Xbox Live to work properly.

 

I guess we aren't going to get an answer on this. Yeah I've tried everything. Wired and wifi. Seems wifi it actually sticks around longer for me than wired. But in the end it's all the same. I've tried everything and now I don't know. Everything was fine
two days ago. Frustrating.

 

I just got finished talking with a few Microsoft support people about the problem. They seemed pretty adamant on it being the modems or routers being out of date, and suggest I get in contact with my ISP, which is Bright House.

Sort of weird, though, since my PlayStation 3 connects and plays fine, whereas my Xbox 360 refuses to connect to the internet at all currently, and my Xbox One is doing this login cycle business like we're all having right now. I guess I'll see what Bright
House has to say.

Do you have the option to connect your console with wired instead of wireless? If so, try this connection type instead.

I would give the following steps a try, to see where it takes you.

Login in to the user interface of your DG1670A.

Disable UPnP.

Reserve a unique IP address in the DHCP reservation list on your DG1670A. Here's how:

Configure Virtual Server to forwarding network ports used by Xbox Live. Here's how:

forums.xbox.com/.../1822796.aspx

The following ports need to be forwarded for Xbox Live services:

Port 88 (UDP)

Port 3074 (UDP och TCP)

Port 500 (UDP)

Port 3544 (UDP)

Port 4500 (UDP)

Go to Firewall settings and make sure the option, DoS Attack Protection is unticked (disabled).

Don't forget to save your configuration and reboot the gateway afterwards.

Let me know how that goes.

 

sounds cool taidara! in fact I did add an ethernet cable between xbox and DG1670A and it seems to work (so far), although I would prefer to get my wifi connection! however, just in case, how does one login in to the user interface of the DG1670A? thank you!

 

I tried what Taidara suggested, and it seems to be working for me so far. I was able to do it completely wirelessly[ somehow! ], HoveringPath94. :] I use a different modem type but everything was about the same[ I use an Arris TG1672 ]. It works now, wirelessly
and all!

I'm glad, I really didn't want to have to talk to my ISP today or go out and buy a new, updated, router like other people were suggesting, especially on a Black Friday. Thank you, Taidara!

 

@PirateMutt - So after you connected your console with a wired connection type, you switched back to wireless, and now it works?

Or did you do something completely different?

 

I didn't have to used a wired connection at all. I don't have an ethernet cable to do that, sadly. I did it wirelessly from the start, somehow, but it's still working. :]
