    Xbox live disconnect every 5seconds


    When I log on with my xbox live account it disconnects every 5 seconds I think it has to do with the following:

    A friend of mine also has a xbox but internet problems at his home he couldn't get the last updates for gta V so he came to me to install those updates this happened with my profile on his xbox and while ussing a LAN cable

    X1 Desperate Help !!

    I've tried hard resetting and updating and the controller is charged. I don't understand why that every time my Xbox disconnects from live that my controller disconnects as well. For starters I don't even know why my live is disconnecting...

    X1 Desperate Help !!

    I'll start up a game and in about 5 minutes or so my controller disconnects. I've figured out that every time I see my controller disconnect, that live actually disconnects as well. Does anyone know how the controller and live are related? I need a fix desperately!! I never had the problem before only started about a month ago. Don't know why I'm getting disconnected from live

    Xbox live disconnect every 5seconds

    Sorry, I do not speak Dutch, but I can try to give you some steps to look at. If they get confusing, feel free to say so and I can try to make them simpler! Xbox live disconnect every 5seconds :)

    1. Reset the router, it may take more than once in some cases. If needed, make sure you are not on opposite ends of the house and that you have full connection bars!

    2. Try deleting your Wi-Fi and reconnecting it, or check your wires. Also, you can try deleting and downloading your profile again.

    3. Try cleaning the cache, you can find the steps on the Xbox support website! There could have been a problem with the previous update or download!

    4. If that does not work, try contacting your internet provider and (if necessary) have them take a look at your router. (This is what needed fixing in my case)

    If none of the steps above helped your problems, maybe get your console looked at. Hopefully this isn't the problem but in some cases it is. Something could be internally damaged.
