Xbox Live Difficulties

Just bought 12mo subscription to Xbox Live. Everything was working as it should, but when my son was ready to play, we got the message that there are "too many profiles on that storage device". We tried to delete some profiles, but are not able to
access Profiles under Settings (we are not even given the option to choose it.

Okay now I feel like an idiot, it turns out the cable from the modem to the internet was only plugged in half-way; some idiot must have kicked it or something. Anyway, thanks for the suggested answer; fast response too.

As for not being able to play multiplayer games, You can still play multiplayer game with a communications ban with one catch, if the game requires communications to play the game then you will not be able to play that game wile on Comm Ban

 

Hi there, just so we're clear, to get to the profiles to delete them you're doing the following:

1. Go to settings and select System.

2. Select Storage.

3. If you don't connect any external storage devices to your console, select Hard Drive. If you do use external storage, instead select All Devices.

4. Select Profiles

From there you should be able to delete any unused profiles, if you intend on re-downloading the profile at any time, make sure to select 'profile only' when deleting them.
