    Xbox live 'create account' error


    I am trying to play Battlefield Bad Company on my xbox 360, but get the following connection error-

    "Your Gamer Profile does not have the correct permission to access Xbox Live functionality." I have xbox live gold so should be able to play, and have had no issues with other games.

    Does anyone know how I can correct this error?

    Create a new Xbox Live account.

    I can't create a xbox live account

    Every time I try to create a xbox live account I get a error code and a message that said that I can't create a xbox live account at this time.

    From what I understand, this free trial of XBOX LIVE GOLD needs to be associated with an XBOX LIVE account and GamerTag created on the console for the first time. I have been told that if you are trying to use this with a previously created account or GT,
    it will give the error.

    I am getting this error as well, which is upsetting, but I am confident that XBOX will be able to either fix or rectify the issue.

    Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you are getting an error when creating child account. We recommend using a PC if not using one. Also try different browser. If you have an Xbox console, can also add the Microsoft account there and you
    will be asked to set up a Xbox profile.

    Nevermind, it was just one of the garbage generic errors. Once I created an xbox live account and signed in it downloaded the game update. All good!

    I'm not sure what you mean then? You said it connects to live ok, but gives a read error but reads games?

    You don't need a game to create an xbox live account
