Xbox Live Core Services. What to do?

That is the big problem. We are not getting any answers.

 

Words cannot express how angry I am with microsoft and the leadership that runs the company. What baffles me is that this major corporation didn't listen to its biggest customers, the gamer. Gamers told microsoft that online only requirements were not only
a stupid idea but wouldn't work smoothly or be constantly having issues. (I believe EA is an expert in this area of failing) I ordered a nice Titanfall Xbox One and set it up today only to find out that I can't even finish setting up my console because it
requires me to sign in to xbox live to download my profile. What makes matters worse is that I still need to redeem titanfall and install it's update, but can't do so. So I now have a brand new 500$ machine that doesn't do anything. Maybe in the future, gaming
companies will learn from the idiots who make the decisions at EA and now microsoft. Let me paraphrase what every gamer thinks "the online only requirement needs to go"

 

At this point there is nothing anyone can do, outside of Microsoft of course. Honestly, I am irritated that I now am the proud owner of a $500 doorstopper that, up until the release of Titanfall, worked perfectly.

I am especially frustrated at the "updates" of the "Core Services" being down and what is being done. In effect, Microsoft, you are telling paying customers nothing other than you are aware of the problem and some vague promise you are diligently working
on it. Those statements do nothing to help assuage people who have been sitting around with consoles they can't even use; not to mention are paying for Xbox Live. I do not expect this type of lazy and terrible customer service from a company as large as you.
Get it together and tell your paying customers what the hell is going and an estimate of when it is going to be fixed.

 

Microsoft can't even get their major release to launch on day 1, let alone I had to go around town to 5 walmarts just to find that *** adapter headset piece and here I am waiting at home after a hard days work.. BLAH. No wonder Steve Balmer got fired

 

Shobike, everyone's pretty ***. And a lot of hopes have been dashed this evening by this strange and conspicuously timed issue.

 

300,000 servers and not 1 of them works. And to top it off my 360 broke a few days ago so I'm bored s**t-less. You would think that Microsoft would be able to fix this in less than 7 hours, but they can't , maybe they should sub-contract the repair to sony.

Honestly, everyone needs to take a step back. 5 hours is not the end of the world. The fact that some people are still playing the game is a good sign. It could be a lot worse.

Give it time, MS will get it together and get you all your fix.

Go read a book, or catch up on homework or spend a little bit of time with your family. Hell go hit a bag or something.

 

My guess is that the beta stress tested the respawn servers brilliantly, but when titanfall launched, more people got the console, got the game and overloaded Microsofts cloud servers. This was a very bad day for microsoft and i want compensation for a day
of xbox live gone down the drain. We pay, we expect quality service. Their servers should be able to stand to this type of stress. No excuses.

 

Figures, first day of one of the biggest games of the year and i cant even sign in. Fix your *** microsoft, this xbox one has been nothing but a pain in the ***.

 

The very least that Microsoft can do is update the text along with the time stamp. I'm tired of reading the same text every time I check and no other sources of information are available on the issue.

 

Here is the thing Texan Coasty, if this was just a part of the service, like say Netflix, it wouldn't be that big of a deal. If it was one game that was having service issues it'd be no big deal. However, it's a "Core Service". Not being able to sign in
to your XBL account, play games, use the console or assorted apps and features due not being able to sign in *is* a big deal.

This takes on an even more frustrating aspect when one is paying for xbl and the console has almost no functionality when it is not connected to the internet. Yes, we can unplug our Ethernet cords, etc, and play singleplayer games. However, those same single
player games rely on the clould for game saves... so nothing a player does will be saved.

In short, Core Features should *never* be down for this protracted of a time period. It's simply bad business and bad management. Microsoft should have followed the "Law of the 7 P's" for this. If you are unaware of this law it is simply this: Proper Prior

I'm severely disappointed that I can't sign in when such a huge title was released today...

 

Says it should be good.. Been waiting mad long. Spent $500+ to not sign in. C'mon xbox. Just release halo 3 again.

 

im really *** as well, just like everyone in here i spent $500+ on a system i thought would be worth getting and i cant even sign in onto my account and do anything. I barely was finishing up on my set up of my xbox and tells me the same message as everyone
else. I nearly packed it back up and went back to Gamestop and bought the ps4. This is some gorilla bull ish
