XBOX LIVE CORE SERVICES! Is there some way I can fix this?

Sorry for any issues you are having due to the Service alert.
Looks like the service alert has been resolved.Please
power cycle your console and see if it is back to normal when
it comes up.

Have tried this personally and I am able to sign in and play now.

So...today it wouldn't log me in like 5 attempts i did everything go offline reconnect restart unplug, etc..

Eventually I openned up the account sign-in page on the left...let it sit for 5 minutes...then logged right in and everything has worked fine. Perhaps it's not so much an xbox coding issue, but perhaps it's xbox servers lagging from that new ark update.

The service alert is still up, there is nothing you can do but wait until Microsoft fix it.

I was able to sign in online but when testing my multiplayer connection, it says some xbox live services are down, like the basic services of connecting to others online, joining parties, sending messages. So how is xbox live up but the core services of
it are down? Fix it xbox
