I totally agree with you rock and it might be my last time too. Like I said before I've been a dedicated Xbox Live player for 13 years now, don't believe me look it up guys. It's a shame that we are experiencing these types of issues

Again, like I said before with the whole "home" console nonsense, it's not the "sharing" aspect that's causing this, 'cause I don't share ANY of my games and I still can't play them, or any of my apps for that matter. The ONLY thing I can get to work is
the MS Edge app and the TV functionality, which I've been using to surf the web and watch shows, respectively, in the meantime. That being said, all of my games are digital, so I want to ask: do any of your disc copies still work (online)?

According to the current service alert, core services are down, as are downloading stuff, purchasing stuff, And signing in as well. So, it's basically "worst-case" scenario.

Oh well, at least I've got a book to read in the meantime.

Classic case of "giving someone a inch and they'll want a mile". Those of us that buy discs, and don't take advantage of a "grey area" of the family share, have to buy two copies of each game we want to play together.

Why do I call it a grey area? Because if it was a intended feature that "Joe Bob" and "Scooter" gets half priced games even though they live in different households...Microsoft would be shouting it from the rooftops! Half priced games would definitely be
a system seller.

So enjoy your half priced games when Live/Internet is up, because you never no when it will go away altogether.

@Galactic Geek, I just logged onto my X Box One...every "owned" game is playable. Killer Instinct (Needs a update if I go online.)-Playable. Fallout 3 (B.C. 360 game.)-Playable. Fallout 4 (Disc.)-Playable. Many others-Playable. Only had two games give me
problems...Geometry Wars and Hexic H.D.; Geometry Wars hasn't worked in quite awhile even online though.

Having to agree this is bull$#%^. The one night in the week I have time for some gaming and I can't play any of my purchased downloaded games. I'm all set with MS. The two xbox one's in my house are the last MS consoles I will own. Never should have let
go of my 360. PvZ 2 is the last piece of coin they are getting from me. Gonna stick to my PC gaming and jump brands on the console front for next round. This round has been a disappointment on so many levels.

Punishing somebody because they share their games is ridiculous. It's like selling a car that has a convertible top but not telling the owner that if you put the top down it won't be able to drive at all. Doesn't make it that I have to suffer just because
I share my games if that's the case

i've had both consoles for a while now, haven't really had any trouble with either of them, even last night i saw this thread and figured i'd be playing on my PS4 last night, but i started playing a digital copy of CoD:Black Ops 3 for about 3 hours, no issues
at all, perhaps the issues were with a certain region?

either way, i'm sure next week we'll see if there have been improvements or not, if memory serves, Live was down for about half a day on Christmas, and PSN was down for about 3 days (for me anyways.).

Yeah, I would probably be the opposite Back Lot. The issues I had early with my first PS4 was the reason the One is my primary console for everything except the obvious first party exclusive stuff.

Seems to be common though. Issues tend to lead consumers away no matter. I know people that had One consoles and switched because of the issues they had. Minor or not. And they now have PS4 and will say things like "Well, the One has issues as well"
when they have issues. And then I know people that started PS4 and switched due to issues and it is the same. The biggest thing for MS is that this console started off on the wrong foot. Any issues now become bigger than they are for many. It has become
cool in some ways to bash the Xbox brand with many.
