Xbox live connection?

I am having a problem with my connection to Xbox live. I know it's not my network because I also have an Xbox one and it works fine. When I log into my live account it takes a while to load then it gives me an error. Even the dashboard won't show any xbox
live things. When I got to test my connection, it takes a good while, but it works. Then right after I go back to the dashboard and it gives me the same error. Please help!

I'm currently getting the same error with my slim which started yesterday.

My daughter had the same problem with her slim for the past week, we tried all the trouble shooting nothing helped, during this time my slim was working perfectly (as did my phat's). Her slim started to work again yesterday not long after mine started to
randomly disconnect.

This morning I got up to watch some netflix and I cannot connect to live did a connection test and it started to connect then when I signed in it kicked me out, so I've swapped to one of my phat's for the time being (kids will be miffed as this one is the
one they use upstairs).

The three phat's all work perfectly fine (I'm using one of them and I'm watching netflix as I type), so I'm unsure as to what to do, having four xbox's in the house all connecting perfectly fine and one that will randomly disconnect.

 

speaking to my daughter a number of her friends have suffered the same problem recently, not sure what model they have, initial impression is that it's slims that have the problem

 

Alright, this should resolve your issue, as I had once had the problem and this worked for me.

Clear Cache -

Press the Guide button on your controller.

Go to Settings and select System Settings.

Select Storage.

Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller. (It doesn't matter which storage device you select; the cache will be cleared for all storage devices.)

Select Clear System Cache.

When prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes.

Repeat step 3 through step 5 two more times so that you’ve cleared the system cache a total of three times.

Solution 4: Delete and then redownload your Xbox Live profile

First, delete your gamer profile:

Press the Guide button on your controller.

Go to Settings and select System Settings.

Select Storage.

Select All Devices.

Select Profiles.

Select the profile that you want to delete.

Select Delete.

Select Delete Profile Only. This deletes the profile but leaves saved games and achievements.

Important Do not select Delete Profile and Items. This deletes the profile and the associated games and achievements.

Next, re-download your gamer profile:

Press the Guide button on your controller.

Select Download Profile.

Note If you don’t see the Download Profile option, it probably means you’re signed in to your profile. Press X to sign out.

Enter the Microsoft account associated with your profile. If you don’t know your Microsoft account or password, see Find your Microsoft account or password.

Enter your Microsoft account password.

Note If your account is an Xbox Live child account, you have to use the parent’s Microsoft account to download the profile.

Select the storage device for your profile (for example, Hard Drive). Your profile will begin downloading.

After your profile downloads, restart the console and then try to connect to Xbox Live.

 

followed that so far, unfortunately I can't connect to live to download my profile

 

now when I do get a connection I get profiles can't be downloaded

errcode: 80072751

 

I haven't tried it yet but I wanted to ask, would moving your profile on a USB stick work? It might be the problem. I have mine on a stick because I do alot of "things"

 

managed to connect (by resetting network to factory defaults) just long enough to download, but basically I can test my connection, then get one go back to my home and within a few minutes lose connection again

as I said earlier my daughters did this for a week and it stopped doing it Wednesday evening, now mine is doing the same

(just got 80141904) the errors are not consistent and I have no trouble with the phat that is parked next to my slim

the troubleshooting guide is of no use, I've had this slim on the same router for a couple of years now (daughter's almost as long), all I get is uh oh that shouldn't happen, looks like you've discovered a glitch in the system

personally I think there may have been a cockup with a silent install (much like when MW3 came out), I'm hoping this will be resolved silently as my daughters appears to have been

 

mind you looking at the trending articles the top one is network connection problems, perhaps this is a little more widespread than I initially thought
