Xbox Live Connection Update

Can I get some kind of update when xbox live will be back to functioning properly? Looking at the status it has not been updated since yesterday which is kind of annoying seeing as I never had a problem in previous years but this last year till now. Its
like I turn on my xbox and instead of being excited to relax and play I am more worried that I won't get to because something is wrong with the service that I pay for.

I think my Xbox is dying...

I do not think it is under warranty any longer. I have had it for a couple of years now, I think May of 15.

It seemed to run fine last night except for the Connect to Xbox Live thing. One of my games was updating and I was playing Overwatch, but the Home Screen still said Connect to Xbox Live.

When exactly does XboxOne require net connection?

it can be played offline if that's what your asking, you have to install your tiltle's first though, if your connected it will want an update, otherwise just install your game and play, if you want xbox live connection is required obviously

The status has been updated today.

The issue with the Xbox LIVE service is still being worked on by the engineers as we speak.

Unfortunately there isn't any more information than that available at this time.

Are you connected to xbox live? if you are then the rosters should update automatically. If your not connected to xbox live then you will need to connect for the roster to update.
