Xbox Live communications banned

Today i came onto xbox thinking yay ill play some games with my friends. But when i sign in all i am left with is that my communications have been banned for a week and i don't know why. Also the message sent to me by the Xbox Live crew was at 12:28am, at
which i was deep asleep. Can anyone help me with this?

Enforcement action taken

I was recently communications banned on Xbox live and I was wondering if there was a way I can find out why I was communications banned and if there was any way to try and appeal the ban.

They should have sent a message to the email account you have on your profile.

If you haven't got it then you can request help from the Enforcement Team at this board

The bans for communications violations are both punishment and there to keep the gaming community safe.

By receiving your comms ban you have automatically been punished for your actions, At the same time this keeps the community safe as you will be unable to chat with or socialise with other players on xbox live during the ban.
