Xbox live code purchased from Amazon will not take

this is the risk you take when you purchase online codes from amazon, if the posting did not state which country it was for then you could get amazon to refund on the basis you were sold an item that was not described.

Hi I've checked the purchases page and it is not showing up

I didn't purchase it through the MS Store, but got the key from Amazon and input it directly into my XBox one

But its still not showing as a redeemed code

The code that I purchased for a recent Live membership is there but not this purchase

When you buy Xbox LIVE time on the console or Xbox.com, it is automatically put on your account, no code is sent. Did you purchase in this way, or from another site (Gamestop, Amazon, etc)?

Remeeming errors are usually caused by issues on the account itself. Be sure to check your billing information at
http://billing.microsoft.com and
http://account.microsoft.com/services for any outstanding amount issues.

After that try redeeming the code on both xbox console and via xbox.com/redeemcode

Also check that account , console and code region match, using different regions van cause issues too.

You have bought a code, likely from a third-party seller, that does not come from the country you’re physically located in. You cannot use currency and subscriptions, not from the country you live in.

Make sure you are purchasing from Amazon directly to make sure that you’re getting a code that will work. If you did purchase this code from Amazon directly, you need to contact them as they are responsible for the codes they distribute. Companies that make gift cards or distribute them electronically by blocks of codes from Microsoft for resale.
