Xbox Live code not working - bought from Amazon

Remeeming errors can be caused by issues on the account itself. Be sure to check if your billing information is correct at
http://billing.microsoft.com and also check
http://account.microsoft.com/services for any outstanding amount issues, these need to be sorted prior to being able to redeem codes.

After that try redeeming the code on both xbox console and via xbox.com/redeemcode

Also check that the Xbox Live account , the console and code all match region wise, using different regions for any of them cause issues too.

How do you know from what region is the code from? I bought it from Amazon and it didn't work.

You have bought a code, likely from a third-party seller, that does not come from the country you’re physically located in. You cannot use currency and subscriptions, not from the country you live in.

Make sure you are purchasing from Amazon directly to make sure that you’re getting a code that will work. If you did purchase this code from Amazon directly, you need to contact them as they are responsible for the codes they distribute. Companies that make gift cards or distribute them electronically by blocks of codes from Microsoft for resale.

Didn't bought the code from third party seller I bought it directly from Amazon using Amazon pay Subscription service.

They said that when someone buys digital code they transfer the payment to the company and recieve back the code. So the end result for the code rest on the company.
