Xbox Live code can't be redeemed in my region

What do I do about a code that cannot be redeemed in my region? I've tried to reach out to the seller but haven't heard back.

Contact the seller to get a code that works in your region
This code was purchased in a different region and cannot be redeemed.

Bizarre Xbox live / game receipt problem

Bought an Xbox live code for my sons for Christmas from Game via my debit card and it came as a text code on a basic receipt. Dopy dick here then lost the receipt before redeeming the code. Will Game be able to trace/link the purchase to the code via my debit card? Obviously the coffee isn't redeemed so not like I'm blagging anything? Lol

You would have to keep trying to contact the seller. There's no way around region locked codes.

You cant. Your friend will have to request a refund for the code and purchase a code for you that is meant for your region.

And refund policy doesn't apply to redeemed gifts

What game is it and for what system

Also if he doesnt live in an xbox live region or not the same region as you

He can't redeem any codes regardless because of the region lock

Match your account region (not console region) matches your actual region

If you don't live in an xbox live region you can't redeem the codes

the same thing happens to me, my friend gave me a code and they live in Canada but I'm in the us, I changed my region and still can't redeem.
