Xbox Live: Child can no longer see custom profile pics. Please help.

Kindly check the privacy settings to see if something has changed. You can do that faster through the Xbox Family Settings app https://www.xbox.com/en-US/apps/family-settings...

After that, I'll recommend you refresh the profile by signing out of the console and signing back in.

To sign out;

- Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

- Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

- Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm.

Afterwards turn off the console qnd unplug it from the power source. Wait 2 minutes and plug it back in, then sign back into the console; You can sign in using the prompt or follow these instructions;

- Press the Xbox button to open the guide.Select Profile & System > Add or switch > Add new.

- Enter the email address for the Microsoft account that you want to add, and then select Enter.

Windows Central has a pretty good guide to follow on how to update your profile pic to a custom image and details what the requirements
are. Please note that permissions to update it to a custom picture can be predicated by the type/age of your account. If you're birthday is correct on your Microsoft Account profile and is identified as a "Child" account, it will not let you create a custom
image.

There is a video showing you how to do it there. Please keep in mind that child accounts are not able to upload custom gamer pics. There is no way around this.

Any custom profile pic need to be approved by the Xbox live enforcement team. So if the don't approve the pic, will not be applied to your profile

If a custom gamer pic violates the terms, i believe it can no longer be changed to another custom pic.
