Xbox live child account situation

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I understand you are getting an error when trying to change your privacy settings. Where does it tell you that your account Is a child account? Are you not able to do things that you were able to do before this
service alert?

managing your privacy settings straight from the console instead of the website.

There is no error displayed. I added Xbox Live account of my second child via Download Profile on Xbox. The account was added without a problem. Then I checked Settings > Family, but there was only an account of my first child. The same situation is on
my XBox Live Account (on the internet); under Security, Family...-->Privacy & Online Safety. There is only first child too.

i will need you to clarify your situation a bit more,

is your account set to child or adult

if it is child you must be 13+ in order to play multiplayer

if thats the case you will need to ask a parent who has there xbox account associated with the childs account

It's very important to create a
child Microsoft account for a child when they want to use Xbox Live so that a child is not using someone else's account besides their own, which can be monitored through Microsoft Family parental controls. Creating a child account for the child when they
first want to use Xbox Live, with restrictions suitable for the age you enter, is how you would prevent this situation from occurring.

Unfortunately, Microsoft cannot transfer Gamertags from one account to another and I don't see that changing because there are many features in place so that a parent is not forced to give their child access to their own Microsoft account.
