i was banned for reporting someone for racial slurs and no one will tell me why so i have to take racial comments or risk getting banned myself microsoft has really not handle things in any kind of fair manner i will not be buying any more products that
have the microsoft name on it the really are a let down in customer support

 

Hi, you can't get banned if you are reporting racial slurs. The only way is if you retaliate and they report you.

 

Nestor, thanks for popping in and providing perspective from the Mod point of view. I don't know if you would have any further insight, but I'll ask again anyway. Why is a 1-day ban in excess of 24 hours? Also, less importantly, is there a way to view
my personal history to see if/when I'm reported? I don't know if there is a behind-the-scenes three strikes policy or what, but it would be nice to see if I'm on a negative trend in other people's eyes.

 

Still doesn't mean you have the right to be rude, does it. You seem to not understand the rules. You counter continually and don't seem to digest the information given. We are talking about your actions, not a 3rd parties. It is very clear in the code
of conduct, as to acceptable behavior. If you can't see the error you made, you will likely get longer suspensions in the future. As to 28hrs, that is obviously what enforcement deemed fit, to suspened your communications.

On the enforcement website. Once you sign in. You can look at your accounts reputation. This section will provide you with information on what you've been reported for. However, there's no information on when you've been reported.

 

28 hour bans are considered 1 day bans since it's just a difference of a few hours. Responses from case reviews can typically take about 72 hours so the enforcement team does not allow them on such short suspensions because the suspension would already be
over by the time you'd get a review. So the 28 hour ones are just lumped in as 1 day.

There is no way to know if/when you have been reported or how many times. The most you may be able to see as far as how other players view you, is your rep (Xbox Enforcement | Reputation)
However, rep does not effect suspensions/bans. You can be completely in the green and still receive a permanent ban for violating the code of conduct some other way.

Despite what some may claim, XBLPET will never ever ban anyone “for no reason”. Suspensions
always occur as a result of a specific Code of Conduct violation.

To the last few responders, thank you. Yes, I have responded with sarcasm and frustration to this whole situation, but that's because I genuinely feel as though my actions for the community far outweigh that of telling some troll to '(Mod Removed-Profanity)'.
Having said that, I get it. The code of conduct prohibits that type of exchange, so I'll silently observe and report from here on out. Gaming can be frustrating enough already, but once you add in the jackwagons out there, it can push a sane person to their
limit. I apologize and I'll leave you to your forum-ing.

Hey Steve generally suspensions end at approximately the same time of day that they are issued- not at the beginning of the calendar day. For instance, a 24 hour suspension issued at 3:00 p.m. will end at
approximately 3:00 p.m. the following day, not at midnight. For the personal history sign into the Microsoft Account through Enforcement.Xbox.Com and check out the

Enforcement History, all the information is on there!

 

Nestor, thanks again for the response. I was agitated by the loose interpretation of "1-day". A less frustrated me cares significantly less about 24-ish hours. I should just be glad I can still play. As for the reputation page, it refused to load last night
while I was exploring the site after it was first referenced in this thread. While still slow, it did eventually load today. Thanks again and best of luck.
