Xbox live card wont work

I used a 12 month gold membership card yesterday to renew it, but it told me to go onto my computer to do it. I did, and it's been pending the membership for a day now. I tried using the card to buy a gold membership, but it just told me to use my credit
card. Please help!

if egypt is classed as europe then the 12 month xbox live card and the 4800 mircosoft points will work, but if it is not classed as being in europe then they wont work as points and subscripton cards are region locked.
