Xbox Live Capture Card Public Audio

Hi,

Ive got an Elgato Capture Card plugged into the xbox via HDMI etc.

Everything works perfect. I can record my voice, and party chat voices.

Problem is public audio is being filtered out of the record.

For example, when I'm playing with 3 public players, 1 of which is a playstation player, and none of us are in a party, there mic audio isn't captured, only mine.

Does anyone know how to fix this? Is it a privacy lock issue or something?

If y'all could give me some working solutions as to why my public audio isn't being captured, that would be great.

Its strange because when I'm live the public player mic and game audio are the same source, so I've no idea why I'm able to record game audio but not public mic audio.

If you capture the game chat you are supposed to be able to record the audio

I'm afraid you haven't helped.

As mentioned the capture cared records the game audio, it records party audio.

It is not recording public mic audio.

As the game audio and public mic audio come through the same channel, and the capture card is recording game sound perfectly, im led to believe its a privacy issue.

If I could get confirmation, or assistance, that would be great.

Your open ended, ridiculously obvious answer did nothing but fill a post on the forum.

To be able to record party chat audio you will need an Elgato or anything external capture card as that will capture any audio on your Xbox (Party, Game, All audio)

Thanks for your post! Natively, the GameDVR function only captures video and audio from the game being recorded. In order to get voice audio for your gameplay, you may want to consider an external audio capture device or a capture card that supports capturing
audio of these together.

You will need an Elgato or anything external capture card as that will capture any audio on your Xbox (Party, Game, All audio) you will have to turn the party chat to speaker and headset. To do this go to, Settings > General > Volume & audio output.
