Xbox live but can’t play online

I recently renewed my subscription to xbox live gold. I see the subscription as active in settings. But when I try to create/join a party or play a game online it tries to make me purchase live gold again. I have power cycled my xbox and I have removed
my profile and readded it twice...neither has helped. Any suggestions?

Yes the home xbox was set and no specific error message. Just can’t play online games that require xbox live gold

Uhmm i just bought an xbox live gold membership on my xbox 360 and I still can’t play online.

The Xbox live hasn’t come across, so he can’t play online which is annoying as we’ve paid for the subscription!!
