Xbox live arcade games for xbox one?

are we going to be able to get live arcade games at all on the 1?

I bought the walking dead season 2 with season pass on my 360, and got the xbone before episode 2 came out. Now I could play it on my 360 but I have passed that to my kids are would cause me untold amounts of grief if I stopped them being able to play wwe
2k14 so I could play instead lol

"Peggle 2" is an XBox LIVE Arcade Game.

XBox veterans know exactly what I mean.

You know exactly what I mean.

On the XBox 360 most XBox LIVE Arcade Games were trivial time wasters for you to throw a bit of money out for a couple of day's worth of distraction.

Fortunately the XBox LIVE Arcade Games on the ONE seem to be much better efforts and of all the XBox Live Arcade Games released on the XBox 360 and the ONE "Peggle 2" has to be the best.

 

There are already a slew of Xbox 360 Arcade titles on the One: Child of Light, Super Time Force, & Trials Fusion are just a few examples...

...they're just not called Arcade games there.

 

It can be done but it takes alot of money and reworking of code because they are 2 different systems so the likely hood of it happening without you having to repurchase the season pass is a definite no

 

I would like to see arcade games on the xbox one.

 

exhto360, arcade games are already on the Xbox One - they're just not called arcade games anymore. The developers at MS have been quoted as saying "games are games are games." That means that on the Xbox One, they no longer differentiate between big-budget
titles, games on (digital) demand, arcade games, indie games, etc. They're all now just games. Period.

 

dude there are no arcade games, will you please stop? yes there are a few indie games (4 total), but you know what we mean... please stop, we would love to see some classic arcade games (like 360)

 

So Peggle 2, Max, Spartan Assault, Powerstar Golf, Strider, Child of Light, Worms, Trials Fusion, arent arcade games? They would be classified as such on 360. Everyone who says that there are no arcade games is just nitpicking because there isnt a dedicated
section for arcade games.

Like 24hrs said, games like Peggle, Trials etc would be classed as "Arcade" titles on the 360.

So on the Xbox One there are not called "Arcade" titles, does it really matter? There's still some great titles on there and the bonus for the achievement hunters is now every game has the possibility of 1000/1000g, unlike on the 360 where they were 200g,400g.

 

I would like to see Hexic and maybe some pinball games, board games, or card games. Bejewelled would be nice. Maybe one day and hopefully sooner than later.

 

Don't worry echto, you probably will. There's plenty of time for that.

I don't think that your Xbox 360 Arcade Games will be transferable to the Xbox One because of numerous technical / legal issues. Hence, if an Xbox 360 Arcade Game becomes available for the Xbox One, it will unfortunately have to be purchased all over again.

You'll never see your old Arcade Games on the XBox ONE.

If they did that it would mean your ACTUAL 360 games could play on the ONE and they don't want that.

You've got Crimson Dragon, Spartan Assault, Child Of Light, Trials, Lococycle, Powerstar Golf, Strider, and a few others already.
