    Xbox Live Arcade Compilation Disc Backward Compatibility


    FYI- The Xbox Live Arcade Compilation disc that came with the Xbox 360 Arcade Edition is Backward Compatible on the Xbox One. The games that are on the Backward Compatible list work. These games are Boom Boom Rocket, Pac Man CE, and Feeding Frenzy. It lets
    you download those games onto your system and play if the disc is in the drive.

    compilation discs

    I have some compilation discs which are Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged, Xbox Live Arcade Compilation Disc, and Pop Cap Arcade Vol. 2. Most games on these discs are backward compatible on Xbox One; however, when the disc is inserted it only installs one game.
    On Unplugged 4 of the 6 games are compatible, Compilation 3 of the 5 games are, and Vol 2 all 3 games are. Why does it only install one? It should recognize which games are compatible and install them.

    Unfortunately compilation discs are not included in the backwards compatibility feature at the moment.

    Agreed, My concern though is what happens in 3 or 5 years when XBOX 360 Live is shut down? If it is not all emulated or some how transitioned to XBOX One it will be lost. I'm not talking about Backwards compatibility on XBOX 360 Game discs either. I'm talking
    about the 100's of XBOX Live Arcade games.

    I totally understand not having backwards compatibility on the Discs...but the Live Arcade stuff? It bothers me as a consumer.

    Sorry to hear it. Compilation discs are not included in backwards compatible titles. As such you will need to purchase the DLC digitally in order to access and play them.
