Xbox Live app not signing in $Windows 10$, freezes

I have several devices (desktop, phone, laptop) all running Windows 10 and logging in to the same Microsoft account. On the phone and laptop all works fine.

On the desktop:

When I run games (MahJong, Solitaire Connection) it fails to log in to Xbox Live, but shows the word Guest; when I hover the mouse over it I get the message "You are playing as a Guest and your progress is not being saved in the cloud. Click here to sign
in using a Microsoft Account." When I click there, nothing happens.

When I run the Xbox app on the desktop, I get a green screen with the version (24.24.20004.00000) in the top right hand corner, and a white arc rotating continuously. This has persisted for at least ten minutes. It does not display any images or commands.

How can I repair the account and get my game progress on this device saved?

Microsoft Solitaire Collection Xbox Live Error

Hey everyone!

Sorry about the trouble you're having with starting the Solitaire app. A few steps to try to clear this up:

- Uninstall the app from your Windows 10 device

- Restart your Windows 10 device

- Re-download the app

- Attempting signing back into Xbox Live with app

Guys, halo sprtan **** cannot sign me into Xbox live on windows, but Minecraft works. Any help?

So basically, the Halo Spartan **** Game on Windows 10 is not signing me into Xbox live. However, Minecraft, Gears of War 4, and Age of Empires are signing me into Xbox.

Can anyone help me, the app tells me to sign into Xbox.com and then restart the app but that was to no avail.

Can anyone please help me?

link and follow the steps on how to switch between Microsoft accounts in the Xbox app on Windows 10.

If you have Windows 10 there actually is no need for the Windows Live app anymore. That app is to play games on Xbox Live if you had any of the earlier versions, like Windows 8.1 or Windows 8.

Windows 10 has the Xbox App programed into the operating system and that's how you link your computer with the Xbox Live Services. You just simply sign into your account there and the computer is now linked.
