I recently paid for my xbox live gold membership for be year. I tried to play fortnite today and its saying i need to buy xbox live gold. But i aready purchases it last month. I tried to reset the console but that didnt work. Should i delete the
game and redownload? When i look up memebership in xbox it shows i paid for live. I juss want to get fortnite to work. Please help! Oh and fortnite says beta still.

If you don't mind I would like to ask some questions to clarify what the issue is. So it seems you want to play Fortnite, but you are not sure how to get an Xbox Live Gold subscription correct?

Or is it that you already have a paid for subscription but it's not allowing you to play the game?

Fortnite is not tied to Gamepass. Currently, you can play Fortnite if you own Xbox Live Gold.

Whenever I log into Fortnite, it says “Xbox live purchase check failure”

Then underneath it says “Unable to verify purchase with Xbox live services” xbox live error code is 0x800C0019 Is this Fortnite’s fault or xbox live’s. Please help.

Dear Microsoft he or she is totally right since fortnite is a free games it should not require xbox live gold membership. So could you remove xbox live gold from fortnite.

Fortnite is a free-to-play game which means it does not require an Xbox Live Gold subscription.

Xbox Live Gold subscription is not just required for free-to-play games such as Fortnite, Apex Legends, Warzone 2.0 etc.
