XBox Live and Fortnite

Playstation users do not need to pay for Playstation services just to play Fortnite so why are us Loyal Xbox users forced to pay for a subscription jut to be able to play Fortnite? Just another reason to consider switching over to the dark side! If you agree

I had a question for Xbox Live Gold for Fortnite. Why do we have to pay the Gold Xbox Live service for Fortnite ? When you have a PlayStation 4 or a Nintendo Switch, you don't have to pay to play Fortnite if you don't want to pay the online service. In Fortnite,
I am actually TIER 64 and I want to reach the TIER 100, so, it would be very interesting to make it free ( but just for Fortnite ) and that would bring back Fortnite players to the Xbox One.

I don't know why it's free on PS, however, if we're comparing the two services, Xbox Live is much better than PSN, better servers, shorter and less outages, more value in the free games every month, also let's not forget how they
had to switch to Xbox on the Fifa esports world cup and how PSN went offline for 23days !

Concidering that Fornite is a free game, and also have the possibility to play it online free "well is the only way to play it... being online", this is a strong plus for the playstation plataform, could be a good strategy if Microsoft do the same for Xbox
i think this will bring a lot of clients to the green team. Right now i have a friend that his son just want a PS4 because of this, so she ask me to recomend it a PS4 in a good price, i will preffer to recomend better an Xbox because i love this plataform
and also the console is cheaper, but doesnt have Fornite for free and she doesn want to pay for any extra fee for any supscription.

 

It does to play online, but Playstation has other deals with Bungie for exclusive content.

As for the original question, you're mistaking paying for Xbox Live with paying to play Fortnite specifically. You pay for solid servers and other benefits that others have outlined. Overall its a payment to use the services Xbox/Microsoft is providing you
access to through the Xbox Live system.

 

Microsoft has been this way for a long time and it helps them offer premiere services in addition to gaming opportunities. I believe it is worth it.

 

Yes i agree with you and i have gold, is a very convenient subscription, i like a lot the deals for games, but there is a lot of people that doesnt want to pay or are just not interested on it; in the particular case of my friend she doesnt like her child
being online with the possibility about to use the credit card linked to the account, this boy is very mischievous and she is affraid he do something wrong.
