    Xbox live and captures not working


    My captures on my Xbox have been really annoying lately. I’m a small you tuber that records directly from my Xbox, then downloads the captures onto my iPad where I edit them. Recently when I try to delete items from the Xbox live section, at first it’ll
    say it got deleted but then if I revisit the page they show up again. You can’t watch them or anything but they are still there. Additionally, I can’t get any of my new captures to pop up, and in the off chance they do, I can’t download them. This is an old
    Xbox, but I don’t get why the captures aren’t working. And ideas what’s wrong? Ive seen this happen on my xbox, my phone, and my ipad. None of them are able to download the captures if they show up, which they almost never do.

    can you recover auto deleted clips?

    See if they are still available in the hard drive. (Captures Menu - Filter for "Saved in console")

    The best is to explain how works the capture system in xbox one. When you capture a screenshot or a clip the first thing that the console do is save locally, in the hard drive and then will automatically (if you have cloud space available) upload to xbox live
    server. Even if you delete or xbox live deletes the capture, it will be always available locally in the hard drive.

    Are you refering to xbox game clips / screenshots?

    If so it might be capturing them just not uplauding them to xbox live you can fix this by going to recent captures and click uplaud to Xbox live if this doesn't work then im not sure what's happening.

    Won't allow me to upload captures to OneDrive.

    I find that the upload to OneDrive function does not work properly in a lot of cases. To work around it I instead upload the capture to Xbox Live first and then I share it to OneDrive (same method as sharing through messages or to a feed, instead select
    OneDrive as the shared destination). After I have confirmed the capture was properly "shared" (uploaded) to OneDrive, I delete it from Xbox Live and my Xbox.

    Not exactly, the most user friendly work around, but it seems to do the trick.

    Hi there! Have you checked that you’re not looking at only your captures store on Xbox Live instead of all your captures stored locally? Eventually you will run out of space on your Live profile for captures, at which point they stop uploading automatically,
    but are still stored locally on your console.

    Hit the guide button and hit right on the d-pad twice to get to “Capture and Share”. Then go down and select “Recent Captures” to open your Capture Management screen. From there the first box in the top left hand corner should allow you to toggle between
    “Xbox Live” and “On This Xbox”. All of your locally stored captures will be under On This Xbox, and if you want to you can remove some of your Xbox Live captures and replace them with new ones that are stored locally.

    Update: The reason the Xbox Live TV function was not working was due to my Elgato Game Capture HD being hooked up. Everything is now resolved.
