Xbox Live always shows me as online to friends

Weird issue, just got brought to my attention. Basically my Xbox is off, haven't been on it all day, but on the friends list everyone will see me as online, but nothing under my name like I'm not playing anything, screenshot below

It's like Xbox thinks I'm signed in somewhere? Any help appreciated.

xbox freezing on start up since update yesterday

I am currently going through this problem as well. Freezes after successful log-in to my xbox live account. Shows me how many friends are online and then freezes before the dashboard loads.

connecting to internet but not xbox live

Having the exact same issues.

Seems to have started right after newest Xbox update.

JoeCool19's info exactly the same as my setup, Cisco DPC3825 modem/gateway and Shaw Cable is the ISP.

Have tried all the suggestions and spent over 45 minutes with Xbox tech last night and still no real fix.

It works sometimes and other times it doesn't.

Happens to me right after I exit an app usually.

Turn on my Xbox and shows me online, all my friends showing up online, launched Vevo app, watched some videos, exit the app back to dashboard, says not connected to Xbox live.

What's funny is that up in the right top corner the friends icon shows that I have a few friends online.

Yet still says I'm not connected to Xbox live.

Internet connected but Xbox live won't connect when I run the conection test.

Have a friend that lives in same city as me and he has the same issue coming up as well.

Does anyone else have access to your account? , are you login on xbox app and have your computer on all day or off? it could be that.

I'd also like to ask if you have Windows 10 and are logged in there? That could show you as online as well.

No, this is before we even try to get into a game, on the home screen. In Fifa 18 it always shows me 0 friends online, even though he is online and playing the game.

The friend that shows online always sees the others online we've tried, removing and adding, blocking and unblocking, and appearing offline and online.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you with your concern.

If you have performed an extended power cycle and reset your network hardware we may need to reset the console keeping your games and apps.

Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

"Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps."
