Xbox live always having service alerts

You would think with all the people that pay to play the games on there xbox's microsoft would invest more server's,tech's or whatever need's to be done to not have all the problem's that they or having with servicealrets

Xbox live

I was trying to connect my 360 to Xbox live, and am advised that the connection has failed due to Service Alert. Is anybody else having this issue? I could connect yesterday, then discontected with the service alert yesterday. Received notice the alert
was fixed and when I attempted to connect, it was still showing a Service Alert.

What service alert are you talking about? The only alert I am seeing is for an app, and that's up to the creator of the app to fix.

Yep,the only service alert that's been up for a while is with the IGN app.

That doesn't stop you playing your xbox or connecting to live whatsoever.

Uh I'm getting one that's been going on for two weeks. The error code is weird and covers the whole screen with different codes and letters. If anyone could help me please do.

Hello IAMWingman,

Thanks for posting here on the Xbox forums. There have been reports of the Xbox 360 showing that there is a service alert when there is not one active. This, however, doesn't seem to impact the Xbox users in any way. Have you tried using the console as normal?
Are you able to play online, stream videos and download games? If you are able to do all of those things, then I wouldn't worry about the service alert message. You can always check if there is an actual service alert here : Xbox
