    Hello,

    can I ask why are we now seeing Sponsored Adverts on the xbox home screen?

    If we are paying for a service like xbox live, surely we should not see sponsored adverts (selling watches) Watch Swiss made... etc

    This is the kind of thing I expect to see on free services like Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

    Why the hell is this now happening on Xbox Live when... WE PAY FOR IT?

    Ads for games?.. Sure. But.... F++king watches? Did they bid the highest Microsoft? Jesus Christ, get it sorted oot!

    Why do we pay for Live?

    I hate it as well we have a playstation but do most of our game play through Xbox. It's lame that you can play for free on playstation but we need a live subscription to do the fun stuff on Xbox.

    I honestly don't mind paying for Xbox Live, as it does seem to offer alot more options then its other competitors. Also, even though the Playstation network is free, it seems to be more buggy and not an overall better experience then Xbox Live.

    We are PAYING to see adverts on live. You dont PAY to see adverts anywhere ELSE. You dont pay to see adverts on busses, billboards, ITV. This is why people are complaining and one of the reasons I wont be buying Gold anytime soon, either..

    Advertising is the way of the world now when you're not paying, I'm fine with adverts when I'm paying nothing for it, hence why I'm fine with youtube adverts mostly. I'm not fine with people using adverts on top of a paid for service. imagine the rage if
    you used netflix to watch a series and every break it had when shown Netflix showed a series of adverts to you when you're paying to see this show. It would go down quite badly I'm sure.

    The apps are funded by adverts which is why you see them, and it will just pull an advert from the bank of ads that are available. It might be a small set, so you see the same advert a lot.

    Usually these games also allow you to pay to remove the adverts if you prefer not to see them.
