XBox Live Account under the wrong file

Hello All,

I recently signed up for an Xbox Live account, granted its only a silver account, I can't afford the Gold right now. Unfortunately I must've not been paying enough attention because I signed it up under a different account. A whole new account. So, now I'm
wondering if there is any possible way to transfer my xbox live account from the new one to my older account. I mean, I could just make another XBox Live account under my original one, but it wont have my LIVE gamertag.

Completely 100% wrong!

Just deleted my profile off my xbox one, then downloaded my brothers profile ( as if he was the potential buyer). The two games worked perfect under his account both online and offline.

I figured out what was wrong. I was trying to play under my Xbox live account, not my non-live account

 

Confusing usage of "account" and "gamertag" so I'd like to clarify:

You created a new gamertag using a different Microsoft Account than you intended. You have a previously created offline gamertag, correct? You can join Xbox Live from that gamertag, using a different Microsoft Account in the creation process. You cannot
transfer a gamertag to an occupied Microsoft Account directly, you'd have to do a convoluted switch which isn't worth it if you have a brand new, 0 gamerscore Live account, IMO. Details here:
